Lucky me got sis who is on her where back from part time work to get me my LUNCH!
Was too bored tt we decided to bake after lunch...
Since we had failed to make a good butter cake las time we did it again =)
Butter Cake
Cooking Time: 45 minutes baking
You need:
185 gram self raising flour
60 gram of castor sugar
185 gram unsalted butter
3 lightly beaten eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
60 ml milk
Method:
Preheat the oven to 180°C or gas mark 4.
Measure the temperature with a thermometer as older ovens can be inaccurate.
Line your tin with paper, butter or crushed nuts like almonds or hazelnuts.
Sift flours to aerate.
Measure ingredients accurately.
Ensure butter, eggs and milk are at room temperature.
Cream butter and sugar together, until all sugar is dissolved.
Add vanilla and eggs to the mixture gradually.
Fold in flour and milk.
Position your cake in the lower third, so that when baking, the cake is middle of the oven.
